This notice describes how Arkan Group handles personal data in connection with this website. It is issued under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and Arkan Group is the data user in respect of the data it describes.
What this site collects
Nothing. arkan.com.my is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or advertising, contains no tracking pixels, no embedded media and no third-party resources of any kind. Every font, image and stylesheet is served from this domain. The site carries no forms and runs no scripts, so there is nothing for you to submit and nothing that observes your visit.
What the hosting provider processes
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. As with any web server, delivering a page necessarily involves your IP address, browser user-agent string and the time of the request. Vercel processes this to serve the site and to protect it from abuse, under its own privacy terms. The site is served from outside Malaysia, currently from Singapore, so those records are held and processed abroad. Arkan does not build profiles from them, does not link them to individuals, and does not use them for marketing.
If you write to us
If you send email to enquiries@arkan.com.my, we process the address you write from and whatever you choose to include, for the sole purpose of responding and keeping a record of the correspondence. Mail to that address is delivered and stored by our email provider on servers outside Malaysia. Such email is not used for marketing and is not sold, rented or shared with third parties, except where disclosure is required by law or by a regulator.
Retention
Correspondence is kept only for as long as it serves the purpose it was sent for, or for as long as Malaysian law requires it to be retained, whichever is longer.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, request its correction, withdraw a consent you have previously given, or require us to limit or stop processing where the Act provides for it. You may also require that your data not be processed for direct marketing, which we do not do in any event.
Address any such request to enquiries@arkan.com.my, or in writing to Arkan Group, Ilham Tower, No. 8, Jalan Binjai, 50450 Kuala Lumpur. If you are not satisfied with how a request has been handled, you may complain to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner.
Changes
If the site changes in a way that affects this notice, the notice is updated before the change is deployed. The date below is the date of the current version.
