We are tenants. The rails that clear our money, the platforms that move our goods and our people, the systems that hold our data, the grids that will power all of it: the work is done here, the ownership sits elsewhere. Rent is taken on every transaction and nobody here sets the rate. Someone will own these systems for the next fifty years. There is no good reason it should not be us.
Effort is not the constraint. It has not been for a long time. A country can hold real resources and still fail to turn them into money. A farmer can grow good food and lose most of its value between his field and the buyer. It goes to handling, to waiting, to financing, to the middlemen who each charge for not knowing what the next one will do. Where a system cannot coordinate itself, someone stands in the gap and is paid to stand there. That is the largest cost in this economy, and it has never appeared on anyone's books.
Arkan owns the businesses that close those gaps and decides where the money goes: mobility, fintech, AI, energy, commerce, agriculture. Movement needs settlement. Settlement needs data. All of it needs power. Held apart, that is six businesses. Held together, it is a position.
We are early. We would rather say so than borrow a record we have not built, and whoever needs the record first is not who we are here for. What we will put in writing now is this. We take positions, not trades, and we hold them for decades, because infrastructure does not pay before then. We declare our interests in advance and in writing, most of all where they touch the public. We build institutions that outlast the people who founded them.
Judge us in ten years. On what is still standing, and on who else is better off.
There is a great deal to build, and almost none of it can be built alone. If this is the kind of thing you want your name on, write to us.
